CEDAW Report
The United Nations Committee on Women's Affairs asked Ma'an to submit a report on the situation of the Arab Bedouin Women of the Negev. The report was published in 2005 at an international conference held at Ben Gurion University in the Negev. The report was distributed nationally and internationally and received many accolades. Currently Ma'an is working on updating the data for 2010.

أعدّ معا تقريرا شاملا حول أوضاع المرأة العربية في النقب قُدم للجنة السيداو في الأمم المتحدة. كما وعُرض ونوقش فحوى التقرير في مؤتمر دولي عقده معا في جامعة بئر السبع عام 2005 وتم توزيعه في البلاد والخارج, ولاقى اهتماما كبيرا لدى جميع الاوساط. يعمل معا في هذه الأيام على حتلنة المعطيات لسنة 2010 من أجل ادخالها الى التقرير الجديد
2010 Legal Support Centre Success Story
Nur is 30 years old, lives in an unrecognized village in the Negev and has 10 children (5 boys and 5 girls). Nur was married off at 17 to a member of her tribe in an arranged marriage. Nur's husband was generally unemployed over the years but has food and income from the herds of sheep and goats he shares with his brothers as well as fields of wheat and other grains and vegetables. In July 2009 Nur's husband left home, abandoning her and their children, leaving them with no source of income. Following her friend's recommendation Nur turned to "Lakia Women", a women's rights organization in Lakia, for help. "Lakia Women" is a Ma'an Forum member organization and Nur was thus referred to Ma'an's legal Advocacy Support Centre. When Nur arrived at the Legal Advocacy Support Centre it was following near 10 months she had been feeding her 10 children and herself on whatever she could get, unable to provide them with their most basic needs and certainly not any school supplies or as such.
A lawyer of the support Centre represented Nur in the Shariah Muslim religious court, where she demanded alimony from the husband. The court ruled for the husband to pay Nur 1500 NIS a month and to provide her regularly with food from his family's herds and crops.
2010 قصة نجاح لمركز الأستشارة القانوني في معاً
نور تبلغ من العمر 30 سنة, تقطن بقرية غير معترف بها في النقب ولديها 10 أولاد , 5 أبناء و 5 بنات
تزوجت نور بعمر 17 سنة بشخص من قبيلتها بزواج مدبر من قبل الأهل. زوجها كان عادة عاطلاً عن العمل خلال السنوات الأخيرة لكنه كان يحصل على الدخل من قطعان الغنم والماعز وأيضا من حقول القمح والخضار
بشهر تموز 2009 ترك زوج نور البيت مهملا اياها وأولادهما تاركا اياهم دون أي مصدر للمعيشة
تبعا لنصيحة صديقتها قامت نور بالتوجه ل "نساء اللقية" أحدى الجمعيات العضوة في معاً حيث قمن بتوجيهها لمركز الأستشارة القانوني في معاً
عندما توجهت نور لمركز الأستشارة القانوني في معاً كانت قد مرت 10 أشهر وهي تعيل أطفالها ونفسها بكل ما تحصله يديها بأي طريقة و لم تكن قادرة على توفير الحاجات الأساسية بضمنها الحاجات المدرسية وغيرها
احدى المحاميات النسويات في مركز الأستشارة القانوني مثلت نور بالمحكمة الشرعية الدينية الاسلامية وطالبت بالنفقة من زوجها نتيجة لذلك حكمت المحكمة بنفقة بمبلغ 1500 شيكل شهريا لصالح نور وتزويدها بشكل منتظم بالطعام ومن محاصيل ومنتوجات عائلة الزوج
