The Arab Bedouin Woman's Legal Advocacy Support Center:
At the support center, since 2006, women receive counseling and representation from Ma'an's attorneys who stay with the women through the entire legal process. The attorney is familiar with both Shariah (Muslim Religious Courts) and civil court procedures. Because of both cultural legal traditions and economic limitations it would be impossible for most of the Center's clients to receive any legal recognition of their rights. The Center enables these women and their children to live in a safer environment with their basic needs provided for. Most of the cases concern issues of personal status (marriage and divorce), issues concerning children (custody and alimony), and receiving social security. In Addition Ma'an publishes the rights directory each year.

مركز المساعدة القانونية لنساء الجنوب
أُفتتح المركز عام 2006 في مدينة بئر السبع وهو يزوّد النساء المتوجهات بالاستشارة والمساعدة القانونية الفردية من قبل محاميات متخصصات ومتطوعات مؤهلات، حيث يشمل التمثيل القانوني أمام المحكمة الشرعية ومحكمة شؤون العائلة. بالاضافة إلى ذلك يتم توجيه المتوجهات ومرافقتهن للاستعانة بالمكاتب الرسمية المختلفة والجمعيات المتخصصة. كذلك يصدر المركز دليل حقوق بمواضيع مختلفة وخاصة الأحوال الشخصية..

Rights Awareness Courses:
Ma'an operates workshops that provide comprehensive information regarding the family life and women's rights under both Israeli and Muslim Shariah law with emphasis on women's rights. The workshops are delivered by specialists for women in different locations in the Negev in both recognized and unrecognized villages. There is a great demand for these workshops. After each workshop the enrollment of women seeking help from the Legal Center increases.

ورشات حول موضوعات عديدة أهمها الحياة الأسرية وحقوق المرأة في القانون الاسرائيلي والشرعي مع التركيز على القانون الشرعي. تُقدم الورشات على يد اختصاصيين. النساء المشتركات في الورشات هن من الجمهور المستهدف من قبل التنظيمات والمبادرات النسائية المحلية في القرى المعترف بها والغير معترف بها رسمياً. توجهات التنظيمات النسائية للاتحاد بطلب عقد ورشات أخرى في ازدياد مستمر. كذلك أدت هذه الورشات الى تزايد توجه النساء الى مركز المساعدة القانونية التابع لمعا
Women-Men Roundtable Discussions: This project represents the first time that an Arab organization has lead a project of this kind for the Arab community. The main objective is to encourage men and women to dialogue about the sensitive issue of women's rights and to bring it to the public consciousness inside the Arab society. In groups of 15-20, men and women of a variety ages (high school students, university students, and those in the workforce) meet together 12 times. With the guidance of a male and female facilitator they discuss gender, power relations between men and women, women's rights, feminism, and the oppression of women. Ma'an's experiences have shown that the earlier the intervention occurs the more likely the positions of the participants are to change in to those that are positive towards women's rights.
طاولات نقاش بين النساء والرجال حول مكانة المرأة
مشروع فريد من نوعه وسباق يهدف الى تشجيع الحوار بين الرجال والنساء حول هذا الموضوع الحساس بهدف وضعه على أجندة المجتمع العربي. في هذا المشروع تلتقي مجموعات رجال- نساءمن كافة الفئات العمرية: المدارس الثانوية، طلاب الجامعات ومهنيين. يشرف على توجيه المجموعات موجهان مهنيان، رجل وامرأة. في المجموعات تتم المناقشة وبعمق لموضوع مكانة المرأة في المجتمع العربي ، حقوق المرأة، النسوية، الجندر وعلاقات القوى السائدة في المجتمع. من الجدير بالذكر أن معا يقوم بهذا المشروع وهو يُعتبر المشروع الرائد لأن الأبحاث تدل على امكانيات واحتمالات تغيير المواقف بالنسبة لقضايا المرأة نتيجة للمشروع
Study Days and Organizational Retreats:
Based on the success of the Roundtable Discussions, Ma'an has instituted day-long retreats, which are open to all. Participants discuss topics such as gender and power relations between men and women. This is significant because previously it was considered taboo to talk about these issues.
Ma'an also organizes Retreats for the member organizations of Ma'an in order to help them improve the delivery of their services in the Arab Bedouin community.

عقد معا يومين دراسيين ناقشا موضوع مكانة المرأة، الجندر وعلاقات القوى في المجتمع البدوي كتتويج لمشروع طاولات النقاش. هذه الأيام الدراسية لاقت صدى كبير في المنطقة نظراً لكونها تطرقت لقضايا كانت تُعتبر من المواضيع التي لا يمكن التطرق لها. الى جانب الأيام الدراسية المفتوحة للجمهور الواسع، يقوم معا بدورات استكمالية على شكل خلوات لعضوات معا والتنظيمات النسائية الأخرى في النقب لكي يجعل العمل أكثر مهنياً وللوقوف عن قرب على ما يجري في الحقل
Rights Directory and Daily planner:
Each year Ma'an creates a directory of organizations and services related to women's rights, women's health, and women's education and social issues. Ma'an publishes the directory inside a useful daily planner. 2,500 copies of the directory/planner are printed in Arabic and distributed annually.

تم إصدار الدليل للمرة الخامسةعلى التوالي كمفكرة سنوية تُطبع منها 2500 نسخة. تحتوي "مفكرة المرأة العربية في النقب" الصادرة باللغة العربية على معلومات حول الحقوق الخاصة بالمرأة وقوائم معلومات عن المؤسسات الحكومية والأهلية المحلية والقطرية
"Al-Raha" magazine:
This bi-annual magazine is the first Arabic text magazine written by women and for women in order to give them a platform for discussing women's affairs and social change processes within the Arab Bedouin community in the Negev. Twice a year, 2500 copies are distributed. Each issue focuses on one theme such as, marital status, or productive dialogue between men and women.

أول مجلة نسائية باللغة العربية بالنقب من أقلام النساء ومن أجل النساء وتفسح المجال لمناقشة مواضيع حقوق النساء والتغييرات الاجتماعية في المجتمع العربي في الجنوب. يتم اصدار المجلة مرتين كل سنة وتُطبع منها 2500 نسخة. كل نشرة تناقش موضوعاً معيناً مثل الحقوق في الشريعة الاسلامية والحوار بين الجنسين
Young Arab Bedouin Women's Leadership Courses:
In each course there are 15 female university students who have committed to promote women's rights in the Arab Bedouin community. The participants receive empowerment training and receive information on building a civil society, promoting human rights. The courses are led by professional who assess the needs of the participants and give them the necessary tools to be effective agents of social change.

Every year Ma'an organizes a conference on a topic relevant to Arab Bedouin women. International professionals are invited to the conference. Previous themes include: Women and Employment and Bedouin Women's Rights. The goal of each conference is for the participants to leave with specific tools and strategies for promoting women's rights. The conference also helps create networks between different women's organizations.
المؤتمر السنوي
في كل سنة يعقد معا مؤتمرا سنويا لمناقشة عميقة لجانب من جوانب موضوع حقوق المرأة العربية في النقب. يحضر المؤتمر جمهور كبير يضم ناشطات التنظيمات النسائية في النقب، شخصيات قيادية ومهنية، اكاديمية واعلام. يتطرق كل مؤتمر الى الجوانب التطبيقية للحقوق وكيفية تطوير حقوق ومكانة المرأة. تساعد هذه المؤتمرات على التشبيك والتعاون بين التنظيمات النسائية من أجل تطوير مشاريع مشتركة
Lobbying and Advocacy:
One of Ma'an's objectives is to bring the issues related to Arab Bedouin women to the attention of formal institutions: government, social insurance institutions, courts, local municipalities and councils, and other policymakers. Their advocacy work focuses on education issues, women's rights, women's health, and the housing rights. Also Ma'an is a part of national and international coalitions that promote women's rights.
